Malea Rose established the company Vie En Rose with the aim of discovering the perfect skincare product to meet her specific needs. “It began as a hobby due to my involvement in the entertainment industry, and I had believed that acting would be my lifelong pursuit,” Rose explained. However, as she delved deeper into the world of skincare, she couldn’t help but become aware of the less appealing aspects of the industry. She began to see the harmful stereotypes and unrealistic ideals that are often imposed on women in relation to beauty standards. She once overheard an older gentleman commenting on her appearance, suggesting that she only had a limited amount of time left to be considered attractive. Throughout her acting career, she had encountered this situation numerous times. She openly acknowledged that some men would only agree to meet with her based on her looks.
Malea was tired of others dictating the limits of her career. Vie En Rose placed her at the front of the table, where she would be the boss. Now her job is prioritizing the customers’ best interests. Malea described her journey of discovering the best science and nature behind her product, aiming to create a brand that embodies “clean luxury”.
Many of the products we invest in boast ingredients like hyaluronic acid and rose stem cells, which supposedly offer various benefits for our skin. She discovered that despite the praise from beauty companies and customers, these products are not organic. “I traveled to the middle of America to spend a full day with my laboratory team,” stated Rose. She enthusiastically mentioned that she brought all her favorite products, smells, and textures. She was determined to replicate the product’s texture and scent, while avoiding the recurring issue of breakouts.
“I highly doubt the lab company will ever work with another start-up,” Rose said with a chuckle. She displayed a strong determination and a genuine eagerness to learn how to create a high-quality product that is beneficial for one’s well-being. Malea emphasized the importance of being mindful about the products we apply to our bodies, as they can be absorbed by our skin.
Throughout her search, she developed a unique complex known as Cannarose, which has been trademarked. The main ingredient is CBD. She praised it as a top-notch miracle ingredient, particularly for those with sensitive skin. “I developed it to address the three primary factors that contribute to the issue: inflammation, dehydration, and free radical damage,” explained Rose. According to her, CBD is still misunderstood and has a negative reputation. She emphasizes the importance of conducting personal research, highlighting the incredible health benefits associated with CBD-infused products.
Vie En Rose ignited a newfound passion and love within her, as she discovered the ability to make people feel good about themselves. Malea is a strong advocate for embracing one’s individuality and feeling comfortable in one’s own skin, in a society that often pressures people to conform to unrealistic beauty standards. She aspires to set a powerful example in her business, emphasizing the importance of embracing one’s own beauty and recognizing one’s self-worth. “How can we live in a society where there are clear negative stigmas about what naturally happens to us as we get older,” Rose remarked.
“They’re not attainable, practical standards,” Rose added. This brand and product line are founded on more than just an idea – they are based on real-life experience of her own. She remembered an Instagram post that caught her attention. The message conveyed was, “You don’t need to be pretty like her; you need to be pretty like you.” She aspires to make a positive impact on the lives of her customers through her business.
